FTP / Silver Accounts (Non-Prestige) Augs, Items, Clickes

I am a cheap skate. This is the primary reason for this thread. I don't really play that much anymore so could not justify spending $$ on something that I only play once in a while. I still use a Krono or Game Card once or twice a year to get some AAs I want.

The last few years on Cazic server has not had any late evening West Coast raiders with enough people to really win any events from COTF or newer expansions and barely any from RoF. Myself and I know others decided to just let accounts go Silver. I thought I would share what I have done equipment wise after going to Silver status for the last few years.

Issues with going FTP / Silver:

1) AA:
(FTP: 250 AA Max) -- Spend AA very wisely. Defensive AAs most important.

Try to get to 85, then sell stuff to buy a Krono (silly expensive now) or just Sub for a month and go Gold (All-Access). Hint: Before you Auto-Grant after going Gold, go 100% AA and save up to your max AA (likely 75-100 AA or so) while your Gold status so next time your need to use a Krono or Resub your off to a good start to buy AAs that are not auto-granted. Try to do this on a double xp weekend. Now, enable Auto-Grant (log out and back in to get massive free AAs). Buy any remaining AAs not auto-granted and store up to your max. stored AAs for the next time you need to go Gold. You will have 6k+ AAs now. You will have a Silver Account once Gold expires. Plan to Auto-grant again at 95. Note: You can still get Merc AAs as Silver or FTP.

(Silver: 1000 AA Max.) If you Auto-Granted when you were Gold, you still can not earn AA as you will be past the 1000 AA max.
If you did not Auto-Grant, then again spend very wisely (focus on Defensive AAs and get Weapon Stances ASAP).


2) Augs: most augs from all expansions are Prestige. This limits you to mostly augs from quests, hot zones, Tier 1 COTF, or heroic. Side note: some type 3 augs are non-prestige to boost spells, etc. Also only a couple of purity augs are non-prestige. There are very few weapon augs that are usable before level 100.

3) Armor & Weapons: Last few expansions you have to stick to Tier 1 group/raid gear as everything else is Prestige. (I will not go into this as the gear is copy and paste each expansion). Note: You can't use cultural armor either as the important augs needed are Prestige). Epic is still usable.

4) Clickies: Like augs for the most part you have to use Tier 1 or quest clickies but there are some good ones. (see below)

5) Spells - you can buy rank 2 option from market place for fairly cheap or just use rank 1 spells. Not really a big deal. (does not look like this is an option anymore)

6) Mercenary: You can NOT use Journeyman level mercs as FTP or Silver. Apprentice Tier V is best you can use as a Silver account. 90% rez will be the norm. Make a cleric to rez on another account if you want 93-96% rez (not needed just an option).

7) Bazaar - You can not sell using bazaar features. When I go Gold for a month I try to sell everything I can during this time. Just store up all the extra loot on a trader character.

Weapon Augs: Very few weapon augs are available before level 100 from any expansion that are decent.

If you can get the augs listed above you will have a decent aug set when all is said and done.

-- Side note: When Heroic Characters went on sale I splurged and spent $10 and did all the tasks for augs (30AC 40 HP +3 Dex / +3 Agi). I went mostly +dex to reach 325 HDex, I kept HAgi at 250 as that seems max for usefulness per some postings. The heroic augs have replaced almost all of the augs above.

ROS changes will be coming soonish (New max level 110, gear, spells, etc)

BTW, all augs in TBM are non prestige, as is the gear dropped by named in static zones... as well as the armor.

TBM is candyland for silver accounts.

Just thought I would add to the thread here... pretty much all hotzone augs are none-prestige, so here is a good list of current and previous hotzones and if alla has the info, what augs drop in them.

With the revamp of OS, FTP/Silver accounts have struck gold.
Everything except augs are NON-Prestige!
Once you are level 105 there is nothing even close to the gear available from this zone (T1 raid stuff maybe)

Stats are about the same as T2 EOK group gear and you do not need EOK expansion.

(Note: there are no charm, ear, finger, or range slot items from revamp OS - mine are still cotf or RoF)
